Howdy – We made it through Monday..woohoo! That means it’s time for this week’s
Terrific Tips on Tuesday….where hopefully everyone will find something helpful.
Since I work in the mortgage business I know that Spring & Summer are prime seasons to purchase that new home or ‘gently used’ older home. Or maybe it’s something as awesome as a second home. It could even be to your first ‘home’ after school/college. Regardless, I think you get the point. I stumbled upon these moving tips and although we haven’t moved in nearly 20 years, I filed this away for future use because several were very helpful and great ideas.
I mean seriously….I would have never thought to weave my necklaces through straws.
Even when I travel, I store them in the Brighton bags.
Necklace. Earrings. Bracelet(s). Anklet. All by outfit. This tip will make it a lot easier – guess I’ll have to grab some extra straws from now on (hehe). Yep, this gives me a whole new way to keep the chains from tangling.
And now for my photography friends –
June is the most popular month for weddings….of course it is! Our anniversary is June 27th. =)
I love learning something new or reading photography tips. And free ones at that! Here’s 8 Wedding Photography Tips. While they are pretty ‘simple’, they could be something easily overlooked or taken for granted. I love checking out The Guide to Photography often – always something to learn.
Let’s move on to blogging –
I’m still learning and definitely want to increase my traffic, expanding my subscribers list but quite ready yet. But…..I visited Erika @ Olyvia.co today and watched her video about Selz. I definitely will try that when I am ‘ready’ to move on to the next step. I love all the options, she definitely makes it look easy to use AND the best part is it’s FREE. If you are interested, watch this quick video.
Faith Every Day –
I admit, it’s hard to find time to dedicate to pray, read God’s word, or just simply sit quietly to listen to his unspoken blessings. I love no, LOVE the beach so I have found it very easy to find 3-4 minutes each morning to read Beach Blessings . Everything I love about the sea is linked to God’s word which makes the beach just that much better.
If you have trouble finding time to read daily scriptures, try to find a daily devotion focused on your passion. Amazon has lots of options for purchasing but most times I google what I want and then go to Amazon. The opportunities are endless….sports themes, mom/girl themes, nature, animals. You name it and there’s a daily devotion book out there for you.
I do believe there’s no better way to start your day than by taking a few minutes to silently read a short scripture/story. Let me know what you find.
Quick & Easy Summer pjs!
School is out! The kids get bored and have friends over so here’s a fun project that they can help with.
I made these for one of our granddaughters during the winter. Lesson learned – don’t use ‘fitted’ pj bottoms. It’s best to use ones that are loose. 😉 I was even able to make a pair for her American Girl doll. So cute! Frozen…..everything is Frozen, even in the warmer weather!
