Just in case you didn’t already know, I LOVE, LOVE Shabby Fabrics. Nothing else to say. I also consider myself loyal to Jennifer =) So when she shared this blog with a new tutorial on quilting, I was more than excited! An EXCITING new find! I didn’t feel guilty at all and cannot wait to make my own Cathedral Windows quilt! Jera’s blog, Quilting in the Rain is awesome and so fitting…..who doesn’t know it RAINS in Seattle?!
Isn’t this just beautiful?!
and I love giving quilts i make to friends and family that truly understand the value and meaning. Handing them down for generations to come knowing I made them. (insert heart here)
This one is on my list, too. Now it will be a little more challenging given it involves some crocheting. hehe. But I have a friend I’m sure would help me out if I get in a pinch =)
Oh my! And this one…. I can just imagine someone coming across this in years to come. The yarn yellowed, the fabric faded and my initials in the corner. Ahhhh.
It’s about the time of year that I start thinking about Christmas and get cozy in my favorite room in the house…..My Sewing/Crafty Corner. I make my list of people and try to find something I can make that they will really like or truly cherish. Those are my favorite gifts. And you know we can’t make the same thing for EVERYONE or the same thing EVERY year. It has to be useful or meaningful or fun. Whew that’s a lot of requirements but I love the challenge and best of all, finding new blogs and patterns and tutorials make it all the better.
Chop! Chop! Only 134 days until Christmas. EEK…..
