Said me NEVER. I just don’t like Halloween for some reason. I don’t like to dress up. I always stressed out of costumes for the kids. Just not a fan. But…..there’s no better way to brighten the day than to have Alice in Wonderland, Wonder Woman and the most beautiful Unicorn ever come see us.
Beautiful. All three of them. They came and visited for a while, picking up their ‘bag of treats’. Such sweet little girls – we are very blessed.
But all in all, it did seem like Halloween went on forever. Between trunk or treat one night. Downtown Charles Town, local treating and then special activities….Goodness! And then overnight, it was Christmas. What happened to Thanksgiving?!?!
We did actually go to a Halloween party last weekend which was actually pretty fun. Friends. Fun. Food. Fireball. Doesn’t get much better than that. Ronnie was in charge of our costumes so after several ideas, he landed on being a Strawberry Farmer. Of course that makes me a strawberry, ha!
A red dress from Amazon delivered at 5:15 p.m. with the party starting at 6. Cierra cut a bunch of ‘seeds’ out and heat pressed them on. Some fern leaves on a headband. Green and white striped socks. Red lips. I guess that will have to do.
The headband didn’t stay on too long but we hung out with the last of the crew until after midnight. Laughing the night away.
I guess you can say ‘another halloween in the books’ as we move on to the next holiday. Oh that Christmas list is starting to come together and before we know it, it will be 2018. Man, time really does fly.
Things are pretty busy at work but since I have quite a bit of PTO left, I will be ‘off’ on Friday’s for the rest of the year. Still some work to do on those days but it will give me a chance to open Santa’s workshop up and dust off the old machine.
Several upcoming events so our social calendar is getting pretty full too. ‘Tis the season to be jolly……Cheers my friends.
