I don’t know about you but I have a list of things that I just do NOT care to see or read on Facebook. Let’s’ see how many I can list in a minute or less:
- Family Drama
- Comments about TV shows as they are airing (which most people aren’t watching)
- Conversations between people. That’s what ‘personal messages’ are for
- Riddles – I hate it when a clue is thrown out with no supporting information. UGH
And then there are the things I LOVE –
- Keeping up with family and friends I don’t otherwise
- Birthdays! Love wishing and receiving
- Successes – Man, Woman, Children ALL
- Anniversaries – Now that’s something that is a little more challenging to accomplish =)
- Vacations – I love pics of places I haven’t been so I can make plans or just simply comment ‘jealous’ LOL
Which brings me to RECIPES! Whoa! There are soooo many awesome recipes out there and I love that the post actually shows you how to fix it. The ingredients, steps and finished product. I haven’t quite figured out how else to ‘keep’ it so send it to myself…..for safe keeping and easy access. I really need to send to Evernote but that’s a
song story for another time, ha! Have you heard that song by Old Dominion? Love it…..
Ok – ADHD has kicked in. So back to dinner…Now that we are somewhat ’empty nesters’ I send out a text to see who is actually going to eat that evening. Based on the answers, I plan our meal. And sadly, I stop by the store more often than not on my way home. It’s been a while since I went weekly or bi-weekly and stocked up.
Geez – Once again back to the purpose of this post…. The response I received meant I could fix fish or something that no one would complain about because we were eating alone. Again . I pulled out my phone and searched for the FB post that had the recipe (and video). Ran in the store and believe it or not, all I needed was a lemon and the Salmon steak.
I opted for the organic. It’s a little late given I am 54 years old and never really focused on that but oh well. It actually ‘looked’ more appetizing. I grabbed the lemon, some yellow squash & a baked potato –
headed to pick up my latest addiction –
OMG this stuff is soooo good. Quite a bit higher in calories but I love LOVE it. I usually stick with the chocolate, almond coconut but have been branching out lately – Key lime with white chocolate, banana and nuts, tropical and even Peach with pistachios?! That will work!
And now it’s time to start preparing dinner. Butter, Garlic & Honey (check out the brand of honey….one of my employees gave that to me and it is great!) –
Salmon steak sprinkled with salt –
A few squirts of Lemon juice – Some parsley – Then all wrapped up and in the oven it goes –
Check after 20 minutes – Put back in on Broil – And there is dinner!
Add the potato and squash as finishing touches, light a candle and then enjoy!
Quick. Easy. Healthy. Give it a try! – here’s the RECIPE
And quickly I will share another recipe I tried. One of my favorite foods is Pizza! Frozen, Ponzetti’s, Lombardi’s, King’s, Middleway Market, Andy’s – you name it and I will eat it. So when I saw this recipe for quick and easy pepperoni rolls I knew I had to try it.
I rolled out the pizza dough. Cut. Placed the pepperoni and cheese then wrapped it all up.
Covered with butter and baked.
Not too bad. I actually threw them in a bag for a trip on Friday evening to a winery and they were a perfect snack.
One lesson learned – be sure to use a pan with sides or else the oven will catch on fire. (and anyone that knows my husband KNOWS that was NOT ok – let’s just say it was a quiet ride there HEHE)
